What we do & how we get it done.
Brookland’s Care Ltd.’s with the support of 2 level 5 qualified deputies, the Registered Manager will be responsible for the overall service provision and delivery; actively monitoring all service user care plans making sure that every individual using the service receives the accurate level and quality of the care and support needed. Brooklands Care Ltd adhere to the key principles of the White Paper “Valuing People” 2001 and apply the values to its Supported Living service which is regulated by Care Quality Commission CQC.
Supported living refers to a scheme that provide personal care to people as part of the support they need to live in their own homes, meaning that the service users have a home of their own and benefit from a greater autonomy as far as their environment is concerned. The personal care is provided under a separate contractual arrangement to those of the person’s housing. The accommodation is often shared, usually as a small group, but can be single household. This Statement of Purpose is available to all relevant and interested parties including Service Users and their families and friends, Support Workers, Social Services and the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

Service Users
we offer supported living service
We provide support for adults of both genders aged 18 – 65 years. The services we provide are tailored to each individual and specialise in Autism and Learning Disabilities. We do not provide nursing care. Our services and environments can be adapted to suit individual needs in a supported living service. The service we provide has no time limits and all service users will be involved in the decision-making process of how the service is provided and delivered, including all daily routines within their home. Everyone is given the opportunity to make their needs known, and those needs are identified and incorporated in their Individual Care/Support Plan, Person-Centred Planning.
In cases where a service user is unable to partake in making decisions about the service due to the nature of their disability, their next of kin and other crucial individuals will be contacted and the MCA and BI will be invoked. Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards will also be applied for to the courts of protection where relevant in the service user’s best interest, to prevent them from self-harm, self-neglect, abuse or harm to others.

We are sensitive to the fact that due to the nature of the service provided, it can often be harder to enjoy privacy, when compared to living independently fully.
